Sermorelin 10 mg
Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide consisting of 29 amino acids. It corresponds to the biologically active portion of naturally occurring growth hormone-releasing hormone, commonly known as GHRH.
Studied Uses
Sermorelin has been studied for its ability to stimulate growth hormone secretion and assess the functional capacity of the pituitary growth hormone system. Its historical clinical research has included the evaluation of growth hormone reserve and growth hormone deficiency, particularly in pediatric populations.
It is also used in scientific research examining growth hormone regulation and the relationship between growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor 1, or IGF-1.
How It Works
Sermorelin acts similarly to naturally occurring GHRH by interacting with GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary gland. This signals the pituitary to release endogenous growth hormone.
The released growth hormone acts on multiple tissues and contributes to the production of IGF-1, particularly through the liver. Together, growth hormone and IGF-1 form an important endocrine signalling pathway involved in growth, cellular activity and metabolism.
